Overview

Veranda by Cocolime is a noteworthy addition to the dining scene in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales. Nestled along Dewey Avenue, this restaurant offers a solid selection of Filipino and Asian comfort food that honors tradition while serving up approachable flavors. Its location makes it an ideal stop for both locals and visitors seeking a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere.

The culinary highlights here center on grilled seafood, which is showcased in the Grilled Seafood Platter—a feast of fresh, smoky flavors balanced by simple, well-executed sides like Pineapple Rice and Crispy Pata. Signature dishes such as Chicken Sisig and Daing Na Bangus reveal the kitchen’s commitment to classic Filipino fare, seasoned and prepared with care. Halo Halo provides a sweet finish, reflecting the balanced approach Veranda takes between savory and dessert offerings. The inclusion of Pancit Canton and Calamares further emphasizes its Filipino roots.

Customers consistently mention the pleasant ambiance, describing the space as comfortable and inviting, with service that is prompt and courteous. This combination makes it a versatile destination for small family gatherings, casual meals with friends, or even solo diners craving familiar flavors. While the menu caters well to moderate appetites, options like half-rice portions address portion control, though some health-conscious diners have noted opportunities for introducing brown rice as a better alternative.

From a dining experience standpoint, Veranda by Cocolime offers a blend of authenticity and accessibility. The fresh seafood and traditional vegetable dishes like Sinigang Bangus Belly stand out, recommended repeatedly by patrons for their balance of sour, salty, and savory notes. Though some reviews mention minor inconsistencies—like the occasional overly sweet mango shake or dips that may not suit all palates—the overall impression is of carefully crafted meals that satisfy cravings for local cuisine at reasonable value.

In essence, Veranda by Cocolime is geared toward diners who appreciate Filipino traditional food served in a well-maintained setting with attentive service. It succeeds in delivering classic flavors with a modern sensibility, anchored by quality ingredients and a welcoming environment. Whether you’re after a hearty serving of Grilled Seafood or a comforting bowl of Sinigang, this restaurant stands as a reliable choice in Subic Bay.

Love that they have half rice option in their menu. Hope they include brown rice next time as a healthier choice specially to diabetics. The chicken sisig is good. I didn't like the chicken inasal. It doesn't smell good. It smelled a little off for me the moment it was served. So we ordered beef ampalaya, bangus belly sinigang, inasal, calamares, and chicken sisig. The mango shake is too sweet. Hope they didn't add sugar. Sinigang is ok. Calamares is ok but didn't like the dip. Service is great and the place looks great as well.

One of the best local restaurants in Subic Bay in terms of cost, taste, customer service and ambiance. Their menu is the same with their sister restaurant, Cocolime, serving Filipino, and Asian delicacies. They are reasonably priced and the service was fast.

The service of food is always fast, portions are ok if you are not a heavy eater. The sinigang we ordered were not cut for sharing, we received 3 big chunks. Other than that the food is good.

Asian fusion restaurant. Service was the fastest I've experienced. It felt like the kitchen already knew what we were going to order before we even made the actual order. If there is such a place faster than a fast food restaurant, this is it. If you have plans of having dinner here, come early as last order is at 730pm. After trying their beef tenderloin, we had to order another one as it wasn't gonna stay on the plate long.

An asian restaurant that offers indoor and alfresco outdoor dining located in Subic. ample Parking is available and staff is quick to assist. Food is served immediately after ordering. i think there are more pineapples than the actual rice in their pineapple fried rice, although it was tasty i hope the rice was equally abundant.
